Begun in 1996, Akropolis.net is a full service portal serving the design and building industry. The site was built entirely by IntelliSight Web Design including the graphic design, news engines, ad servers, caching technology, surveys, product marketplace and multimedia content (e.g. Flash demo's, IPIX virtual reality tours, etc). The most robust feature of the site is an IntelliSight Web Design application that allows professionals to build and edit their profile and a portfolio of their work. All portfolios are searchable by key word or criteria using IntelliSight Web Designs visually engaging search engine.
IntelliSight Web Design, acting as an ASP, can incorporate the portfolio / website builder and search engine into the look and feel of any website. This can be used as a visually engaging and interactive directory for any industry whose work is of a visual nature.
